Payroll Manager Salary: £55,000–£65,000 Location: Leicestershire – Hybrid Contract: 12-month fixed-term, Take the lead in a business that values its people If you're an experienced Payroll Manager who enjoys supporting a team and making a real difference, this is a chance to take ownership of a busy, important function in a people-led business. You'll lead two Payroll Assistants and oversee 11 monthly payrolls covering around 2,000 colleagues. You'll have the support to deliver payroll accurately and on time, while helping shape improvements and prepare the business for a new payroll system. The role is offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. What you'll be doing Leading, supporting and developing two Payroll Assistants Overseeing the accurate and timely delivery of 11 monthly payrolls Managing payroll controls, reconciliations, reporting and escalated queries Ensuring payroll processes meet statutory requirements Working closely with HR, Finance and colleagues across the business Reviewing processes and supporting the introduction of a new payroll system What you'll bring Experience managing or leading a payroll function Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge, ideally in a high-volume environment Confidence leading a team and coordinating multiple deadlines A high level of accuracy and a practical, improvement-focused approach Sage 50 Payroll and system implementation experience would be beneficial If you're ready for a role where you can lead a capable team, improve how payroll works and be valued for the contribution you make, we'd be pleased to hear from you.
