Are you a qualified accountant who enjoys getting under the skin of a business, improving reporting and bringing structure to a growing finance function?
We are recruiting an Interim Financial Controller / Group Accountant for an ambitious, acquisitive SME group based between Nottingham, Leicester and Derby. Having expanded significantly over the last 1218 months, the business now needs an experienced finance professional to take ownership of group reporting and help strengthen its financial processes and controls.
This is a genuinely hands-on role. Youll work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, but youll also be comfortable getting into the detail producing management accounts, consolidating multiple entities, improving processes and ensuring the numbers are accurate and delivered on time.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Producing monthly management accounts and consolidated group reporting
- Improving reporting processes, controls and balance sheet integrity
- Managing budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and working capital
- Providing clear financial analysis and commercial insight to senior management
- Standardising reporting across multiple businesses
- Supporting future acquisitions, including due diligence and financial integration
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and financial information
- Helping shape the future structure and capability of the finance function
Were looking for an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with strong technical and commercial capability. Previous experience within a multi-company/group environment and consolidations is particularly important, alongside the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on.
Experience of acquisitions,private equity or Power BI would be advantageous but isnt essential.
This is an excellent six-month opportunity to make a visible impact within a fast-growing business, working directly with senior decision-makers at an important stage of its development.
