A successful accountancy practice is recruiting for an Assistant Manager to join their team at their office commutable from Gorleston, Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth and Acle.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking to take the next step in their career, with the chance to take on greater responsibility, build and manage client relationships and develop towards a future Manager-level position.

The Role As an Assistant Manager, you will work with a varied portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses, supporting the delivery of accounts, tax and advisory services.

Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for a range of owner-managed businesses.

Preparing and reviewing personal and/or business tax returns.

Reviewing VAT returns and supporting clients with Making Tax Digital requirements.

Helping to build and manage a portfolio of clients.

Developing strong, long-term relationships and acting as a key point of contact.

Supporting Managers and senior colleagues with client work and wider projects.

Responding to client queries and providing ongoing accounting and business support.

Reviewing work completed by junior members of the team.

Coaching, mentoring and supporting the development of junior staff.

Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
