A notable accountancy firm, based within short distance of Newark-on-Trent, Grantham, Lincoln and Retford are seeking to hire a key Accountant and are open to applications from capable Practice Accountant through to Client Manager. The firm is looking for someone with high attention to detail, hiring anywhere up to a Client Manager level role and potentially a role blending accountancy work.

You will be an Accountant with practice experience, who loves working with small businesses to deliver a great service. You will engage in reviewing year-end accounts, tax returns (company and personal), VAT returns, P11Ds, CIS returns and management accounts for a variety of clients. You will submit accounts and tax returns to Companies House/HMRC and liaise with the client to ensure they understand how and when to pay any tax due. You will respond to ad-hoc client queries and also proactively contact clients to ensure they know what their figures are looking like before year-end. You will manage a small team to ensure all work is being prepared well in advance of deadlines. You will be keen to help create and implement accounts and tax return preparation processes and procedures. You will assist with client onboarding where necessary. You will be comfortable liaising with clients on the phone and email to obtain information needed.
