The Role
As Bookkeeper, you'll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all transactional activities are completed efficiently. You'll work across a broad range of finance duties, supporting month-end processes and providing reliable financial information to help the business make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the purchase and sales ledger
- Process supplier payments and customer receipts
- Complete bank reconciliations and maintain cash books
- Prepare and post journals where required
- Support month-end processes and management reporting
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Assist with VAT returns and statutory requirements
- Monitor cashflow and maintain accurate financial records
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and efficiencies
About You
- Previous experience in a Bookkeeper or similar all-round finance role
- Strong understanding of day-to-day accounting processes
- Experience supporting month-end activities
- Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently
- Confident communicating with colleagues, customers and suppliers
