I am working with a growing, family-run business in North Leicestershire to recruit a Finance Manager. This is a standalone role, offering full ownership of the finance function within a supportive and flexible working environment. The business is well-established, with a turnover approaching £3 million, and continues to grow steadily. They offer a rare combination of long-term stability, autonomy, and genuine work-life balance, ideal for someone seeking a hands-on role within a friendly, down-to-earth team.

The Role: Reporting directly to the senior managers, you'll be responsible for managing all day-to-day financial operations, including:

  • Purchase & sales invoicing
  • VAT & CIS returns
  • Payroll processing
  • Credit control & reconciliations
  • Management reporting
  • Working with Sage Cloud Accounting software
  • Data analysis & reporting

This is a role for someone who enjoys taking full ownership, planning their own workload and working closely with the directors to support the business.

About You: We're looking for someone with:

  • At least two years experience in a standalone / number one SME finance role
  • Strong Excel skills - able to perform VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs and use Pivot Tables
  • Preferably ACCA, CIMA or AAT Level 4 qualified
  • Strong management accounting and transactional finance skills
  • End-to-end weekly and monthly payroll experience
  • Experience using Sage (or similar) accounting software

What's on Offer: £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience. Flexible working - primarily office-based (North Leicestershire) with the option to work from home one day a week. Core hours 8am - 4pm (with flexibility around this).
