We are recruiting on behalf of a group of UK businesses to bring on board an experienced Finance Director to lead the standardisation and improvement of accounting processes across their UK operations. Reporting directly to the Global CFO, and with responsibilities to the UK Managing Directors, this is a pivotal role in driving financial best practices across the group.
This privately owned group has a strong UK presence, particularly in the East Midlands. Following a period of significant investment and expansion, they are seeking a hands-on Finance Director to consolidate their financial operations and champion business improvements. This is an ideal opportunity for a senior finance leader who thrives in partnering with key stakeholders to deliver strategic and operational enhancements.
About the Role:
As Finance Director, you will oversee multiple finance teams across the group’s UK businesses. The role combines day-to-day financial management with strategic leadership, focusing on delivering monthly accounts and annual financial statements. You will also be involved in the commercial aspects of the business, including contract renewals and M&A opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Provide developmental leadership to finance teams across multiple UK entities.
- Financial Accounting: Oversee regular financial accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and financial demands across the businesses.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement continuous process improvements to enhance financial efficiency and standardisation.
- Commercial Strategy: Support business growth by advising on contract renewals and M&A opportunities.
About You:
We are seeking a qualified Finance Director (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) with a proven track record in multi-site or multi-entity environments. Experience with ERP system implementations would be an advantage.
