The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will take responsibility for your own portfolio of clients and become a trusted point of contact for them. Alongside the preparation of accounts and tax work, you will have the opportunity to develop stronger client relationships and play an increasingly important role in their financial planning.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing your own portfolio of clients across a range of industries
- Preparing accounts, financial statements and corporation tax returns
- Producing management accounts, forecasts and financial information to support client decision-making
- Preparing for and leading regular client review meetings, including nine-month reviews
- Building strong relationships with clients and developing a detailed understanding of their businesses
- Working closely with clients to discuss performance, future plans and financial forecasts
- Supporting the onboarding and development of new client relationships
- Managing your own workload and ensuring client deadlines are met
- Supporting junior members of the team and reviewing their work where appropriate
- Identifying opportunities to provide additional support and services to clients
