Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant who thrives on problem-solving and enjoys getting into the detail? We are looking for a proactive individual to support a client with reconciliations and general accounting work on a temporary, part-time basis.

The Role

You will play a key part in bringing the company’s accounts up to date and ensuring accuracy across the board. The position is varied, with a particular focus on reconciliations and wider accounts support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Posting bank transactions and completing reconciliations.
  • Matching approximately 300 transactions from Sage to the bank account.
  • Reconciling debtors and creditors back to the balance sheet.
  • Reconciling bank accounts and potentially credit card accounts.

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Sage experience, with the confidence to work through challenges independently.
  • Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • An investigative and proactive approach, with the ability to solve problems without constant guidance.
  • Experience as an all-round Accounts Assistant rather than a narrow purchase ledger focus.

This role suits someone who enjoys delving into complex systems, is confident working independently, and takes ownership of their work.

The Offer

  • £12.50 – £15.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
  • Approximately 20 hours per week, with flexible working patterns available (e.g. four hours a day, three full days, or a mix).
  • On-site role with flexibility on working hours between 8am and 5pm.

If you are a skilled Accounts Assistant who enjoys a challenge and can bring accuracy and initiative to this key role, we would love to hear from you.
