Due to continued growth, this organisation is seeking a Regulatory Officer to join their specialist team. The role will involve regulatory assessment, compliance review and documentation management to ensure cosmetic products meet the necessary legislation and safety standards in multiple territories, including the UK, EU, US and Canada. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regulatory reviews of formulations, labelling, and packaging to ensure market compliance.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of technical files, including safety reports and PIFs.
  • Oversee notification processes via CPNP and SCPN portals.
  • Review marketing claims and ensure they meet legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Support communication with regulatory authorities and assist in audits or inspections.
  • Monitor and report on serious undesirable effects and other post-market obligations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal compliance systems and processes.
  • Stay updated on evolving cosmetic regulations and support knowledge sharing within the team.
Key Requirements:
  • Degree in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, or a related field – or equivalent industry experience.
  • Solid knowledge of UK and EU cosmetic legislation; familiarity with US and Canadian frameworks is a plus.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects to tight deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Word, for document handling and formatting.
  • A collaborative mindset and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
