Where you’ll be working:
It is a London based contractual opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer (AWS). No sponsorship is provided for this role. It is a contractual opportunity for 12 months. The resources will be required to travel to the London/Edinburgh office for meetings once or twice a month.

Job Description:
- Design, build, and configure AWS cloud services to support Customer Monitoring and platform requirements.
- Develop and maintain Terraform scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Implement automation frameworks and tooling to streamline deployments, scaling, and operational workflows.
- Integrate and optimise monitoring, logging, and observability solutions across cloud environments.
- Support FinOps activities including cost monitoring, usage optimisation, tagging governance, and reporting.
- Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, and performance standards.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, DevOps, and architecture teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.
- Contribute to platform selection, design decisions, and best-practice cloud governance.
Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, etc.).
- Experience with GCP platform build and configuration (nice to have).
- Advanced proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
- Strong automation skills using Python, Bash, Ansible, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK, etc.).
- Solid understanding of FinOps principles and cloud cost-optimisation strategies.
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, identity, and governance.
- Ability to work independently as a B2B contractor and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with distributed teams.
