We are now looking for a Maintenance Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As a Maintenance Manager, you will lead the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across the School's estate, ensuring a safe, efficient and well-maintained environment for the entire school community. Leading the maintenance team, you'll plan and oversee maintenance activities across the estate, co-ordinate the call-out rota and work closely with key stakeholders and external contractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You will also support statutory testing and inspections, ensuring your team and contractors are appropriately trained and working in line with health and safety procedures and School policies.

Additionally, you will:

  • Act as the first point of contact for maintenance emergencies
  • Assist with the preparation and monitoring of maintenance budgets
  • Authorise permits to work for high-risk activities
  • Order and procure materials, furniture and electrical goods as required

About You

To be considered as a Maintenance Manager, you will need:

  • Proven experience in building maintenance or facilities maintenance
  • Experience pricing maintenance works
  • Project management experience and qualifications
  • The ability to lead a team and manage contractors
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and legislation
  • Good trade skills and technical knowledge
