The Role
We are seeking a skilled Water Treatment Engineer (Contractor) to support the installation, servicing, and maintenance of water systems across London, Central, and South England. You will work on a range of water purification and distribution systems, including pipework, control systems, water tanks, and associated equipment, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and refurbish water treatment and filtration systems
- Install and support water purification systems and associated components
- Inspect tanks, valves, and pipework, reporting defects and recommending repairs
- Isolate, dismantle, and assess plumbing and system equipment
- Drain, clean, disinfect, and recommission water systems in line with hygiene standards
- Inspect and assess control systems, identifying faults and performance issues
- Carry out both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive servicing
- Work safely in confined spaces, following all site safety procedures
- Support scheduled works and resolve operational issues as required
- Act as a technical lead within the UK support function when required
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual work
- Confined Space trained (valid certification and medical required)
- Experience working with water treatment, filtration systems, and associated equipment
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Willingness to travel across the UK when required
Preferred Experience
- Plumbing and/or electrical experience
- Experience working with water treatment or purification systems
