We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Technical Engineer for our Bluewater Team in the United Kingdom, with a strong background in the water filtration industry, ideally with 10+ years of experience spanning domestic water treatment installations and large-scale commercial or industrial reverse osmosis (RO) systems.

The ideal candidate will have developed their expertise primarily through domestic filtration and purification installations, while also demonstrating experience in the delivery, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of large-scale RO systems in environments such as:

  • Major events and temporary infrastructure
  • Hotels and hospitality environments
  • Commercial buildings
  • Agricultural and irrigation systems
  • High-demand water treatment applications

This individual will be a technically accomplished engineer with leadership capability, able to support field teams, troubleshoot complex installations, and ensure consistently high standards of delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience within the water filtration/water treatment industry
  • Extensive experience in domestic water purification and filtration systems
  • Proven experience working with large-scale reverse osmosis (RO) systems
  • Experience across installation, servicing, fault finding, commissioning, and maintenance
  • Ability to assess, measure, diagnose, and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Experience leading projects or technical teams in field-based environments
  • Strong understanding of water quality, pressure systems, filtration technologies, and plumbing infrastructure
  • Experience working in customer-facing environments while maintaining exceptional service standards

Essential Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold:

  • City & Guilds NVQ Plumbing Level 3 – North Birmingham College
  • City & Guilds NVQ Plumbing Level 2 – North Birmingham College
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating
  • HR1 Gas Fire Installation, Repairs, Maintenance and Servicing
  • IRCA Internal Quality Audit Course (ISO)
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Preferred / Desirable Certifications

Ideally, candidates will also possess professional certifications including:

  • WQA (Water Quality Association) Certification
  • WRAS (Water Regulations Approval Scheme) Certification
  • NSF Professional Certification

These qualifications would be highly advantageous for engineers working across a range of technical environments and larger-scale deployments.
