Bluetree is working with a growing, technology-driven cardiac reporting service on a permanent recruitment basis. This is a well-established, forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of remote cardiac diagnostics, with a strong reputation for clinical quality and a genuinely collaborative team culture. This is a fully home-based, reporting-focused role for an experienced Cardiac Physiologist who is ready to take real ownership of a busy Holter and ambulatory ECG workload — without the need to attend a clinical site. You will work as part of a distributed team, supported by a Director of Cardiac Physiology, and will have the autonomy to manage your caseload against agreed turnaround times.

This is an excellent long-term full time permanent opportunity: the service is growing and there is a clear pathway to Director level for those with the ambition and the experience to step into a leadership role. They are also looking for individuals looking for locum opportunities who can work in short term contracts.

Responsibilities

Day to day, you will be independently reporting across a varied and clinically interesting caseload, including:

  • Reporting 24-hour, 48-hour, and extended-duration ambulatory ECG Holter recordings (7-day, 14-day, 30-day+) to a consistently high clinical standard
  • Producing clear, detailed, and clinically meaningful reports for referring cardiologists and GPs
  • Interpreting complex arrhythmias, conduction abnormalities, and rhythm disturbances from extended ambulatory recordings
  • Reporting on cardiac rhythm management (CRM) data, identifying clinically significant findings and escalating urgent results through agreed protocols
  • Managing and prioritising your own remote reporting workload to meet turnaround targets
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all reporting meets clinical governance and quality standards
  • Contributing to service improvement as the reporting function continues to develop
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced physiologists as the team grows
What They Are Looking For

To be considered for this role, you will need to bring:

  • A minimum of 7 years' post-qualification experience in cardiac physiology, with a substantial focus on ECG monitoring and Holter reporting
  • Current IHRS or BHRS accreditation in pacing or defibrillation — candidates who are actively recertifying will be considered
  • A proven track record of independently reporting 24-hour, 48-hour, and long-duration ambulatory ECG recordings
  • Strong working knowledge of cardiac rhythm management and arrhythmia interpretation
  • A BSc (Hons) in Physiological Sciences, Clinical Physiology, or equivalent — plus RCCP registration or equivalent professional body membership
  • Excellent self-motivation and the ability to manage an output-based remote workload without close supervision
  • A reliable home working set-up with suitable IT infrastructure and secure internet access
  • Your own personal indemnity insurance

It would be a bonus if you also have:

  • Experience with multiple Holter analysis platforms, such as Zymed, Spacelabs, iRhythm Zio, or Mortara
  • Experience with remote monitoring platforms for implantable devices (Carelink, Merlin.net, Latitude, BIOTRONIK Home Monitoring)
  • IBHRE certification (CCDS and/or CEPS)
  • Previous home-based or remote clinical reporting experience
