Account Director - Shepperton, Middlesex

Bluetree are recruiting for a commercial Account Director role at an agency that trusts its people to lead.

If you're a brilliant Senior Account Manager ready to step up, or an Account Director who wants more ownership, more variety, and a real say in where the business goes next, keep reading.

Our client is a fast-growing, technology-focused marketing agency working with some of the biggest names in global tech.

They're looking for an ambitious Account Director to take a senior leadership role across key accounts, drive growth, and help shape the agency's next chapter.

This is a permanent full time onsite role.

  • Why This Role Stands Out
  • Real seniority, real ownership: you'll be the commercial and strategic lead on a portfolio of major technology clients.
  • Variety that keeps you sharp: demand generation, ABM, sales enablement, social, video and live events, all under one remit.
  • A seat at the table: contribute directly to agency growth, new business pitches and how the team is shaped and run.
  • A close-knit, hands-on culture: small team, big impact, no bureaucracy, and leadership that works alongside you rather than above you.
  • Global stakeholders, high stakes, high reward: manage senior relationships across world-class technology organisations.

The Opportunity

As Account Director, you will own and grow a portfolio of strategic technology clients, acting as senior point of contact and commercial lead across accounts.

You'll drive integrated campaigns spanning demand generation, sales enablement, digital engagement, social, video and events, ensuring every piece of work is strategically sound, commercially strong, and delivered to the highest standard.

You’ll also play a genuine leadership role within the agency: mentoring and developing account teams, improving processes, and actively contributing to business growth.

It's a small, hands-on team, so while you’ll be leading, you’ll also be mucking in and delivering alongside them.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Owning and developing senior client relationships as a trusted strategic advisor
  • Leading multi-channel campaign delivery across demand generation, ABM, sales enablement, social, video and events
  • Identifying and converting account growth opportunities: upsell, cross-sell and new programmes
  • Leading, mentoring and developing Account Managers and Account Executives
  • Overseeing briefing, planning and execution across all client workstreams
  • Ensuring strategic alignment between client objectives and agency output
  • Reviewing and shaping proposals for commercial accuracy and creative strength
  • Owning forecasting, profitability and account performance
  • Leading high-level client presentations, reviews and planning sessions
  • Managing senior stakeholder relationships across global technology organisations
  • Supporting agency leadership on new business development and pitching when required
  • Ensuring excellence in delivery across timelines, budgets and quality standards

About You

You'll already be operating at Account Director level, or you're a strong Senior Account Manager ready to step up. You'll bring:

  • Strong experience in B2B technology marketing, agency-side preferred
  • A deep understanding of demand generation and enterprise sales cycles
  • A proven track record of growing accounts commercially and strategically
  • Confidence managing senior client stakeholders within global organisations
  • Strong leadership capability, with experience managing small teams
  • Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills
  • Strong commercial awareness across estimation, margin and profitability
  • The ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, growth-minded approach with strong personal initiative
  • What's In It For You
  • Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) profit-share, paid three times a year
  • Tax-efficient bonus structure, up to £3,600 per annum tax-free under current EOT allowance, where applicable
  • 20 days holiday plus office closure between Christmas and New Year
  • Unlimited use of paddleboards on the Thames, optional, but encouraged for strategic thinking!
