About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Tendering Engineer to join our commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing competitive and technically accurate proposals for heat tracing projects across various industries, ensuring alignment with client specifications and company capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyse RFQs, ITTs, and tender documents related to heat tracing systems.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including system design, material selection, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather necessary inputs for tender submissions.
- Perform heat loss calculations and select appropriate heating cables, control systems, and accessories.
- Ensure proposals comply with industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, ATEX) and client requirements.
- Liaise with clients for clarifications, technical discussions, and bid negotiations.
- Support the sales team with pre-sales technical support and presentations when required.
About you:
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor\’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in tendering or proposals.
- Strong understanding of heat tracing design principles, materials, and control systems would be beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working with EPC contractors and international tenders.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and CRM tools.
- Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and temperature maintenance requirements.
