The Role
We seek a highly experienced Lead Front-End Engineer with expertise in Vue.js/Nuxt and a keen eye for design and user experience. As a key team member, you will lead the architecture, development, and implementation of modern front-end systems, collaborating closely with product, design, and back-end teams. You will set standards for UI quality, performance, accessibility, and maintainability, ensuring scalability of our front-end stack.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable, responsive, high-performance front-end applications using Vue.js and Nuxt.js.
- Translate UI/UX designs and product requirements into clean, maintainable code.
- Collaborate with designers to refine design systems, UI components, and interaction patterns.
- Mentor and guide other front-end engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and architectural planning.
- Own and drive front-end architectural decisions, performance optimization, and tooling improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with front-end trends and best practices.
- Partner with QA and back-end teams for smooth integrations and deployments.
- Contribute to building and maintaining a component library or design system.
About You
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
- Proficiency in Vue.js and Nuxt.js, including SSR and static site generation.
- Experience with component-driven development and design systems.
- Ability to implement complex UI/UX from design tools like Figma or Sketch.
- Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS/Tailwind), JavaScript (ES6+), and related tooling.
- Experience leading technical teams or projects.
- Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and Git.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Familiarity with animation libraries (GSAP, Framer Motion).
- Experience with headless CMSs (e.g., Storyblok, Contentful, Sanity).
- Exposure to React ecosystem.
- Open-source contributions to Vue/Nuxt projects.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
