We are seeking a diligent and detail‐oriented Product Assurance Manager to lead Product and Quality Assurance (PA/QA) activities across one or more complex space missions. Working closely with project and engineering teams, you will ensure mission assurance across hardware, software, and ground segment developments. This role offers the opportunity to broaden experience across innovative in‐orbit servicing, assembly, and manufacturing programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Product and Quality Assurance activities within project teams.
  • Provide PA/QA support across multiple projects.
  • Act as the primary PA lead for assigned projects, delegating work as required.
  • Liaise with customer PA/QA representatives and support reviews and audits.
  • Support supplier and subcontractor PA/QA activities, including assessments, audits, and ongoing oversight.
  • Review materials, parts, and processes against technical and assurance requirements.
  • Produce and maintain Product Assurance plans and documentation.
  • Witness manufacturing and test activities, including at supplier facilities.
  • Maintain quality records and assurance data.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Support assurance inputs to bids and proposals.
  • Mentor junior PA staff and review peer work.

Experience

  • Strong commercial experience in Product Assurance and/or Quality Assurance, ideally in the space or aerospace sector.
  • Proven ability to lead assurance activities within project teams.
  • Experience working with high‐reliability systems and complex technical products.
  • Strong problem‐solving skills with a pragmatic, structured approach.
  • Excellent organisational and time‐management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and clear technical communication (written and verbal).
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Worked with national space agencies or institutional customers.
  • QMS internal auditor qualification or third‐party audit experience.
  • Knowledge/experience of ground segment Product Assurance.
  • Knowledge/experience of software Product Assurance.
