Are you a hands-on engineer with a passion for problem-solving and a strong background in satellite communications or IT systems? We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to join a growing technical team supporting mission-critical communications equipment across the maritime and government sectors.
This is a dynamic role offering national and international travel, the chance to work with cutting-edge communications technology, and the opportunity to contribute to high-performance service delivery for prestigious clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform service, repair, testing, and commissioning of satellite communication and data systems.
- Conduct standard and custom system installations in the field.
- Liaise with customers in advance of deployments to ensure readiness.
- Prepare and mobilise tools, test equipment, and materials, sometimes at short notice.
- Submit accurate technical reports and service documentation following each task.
- Provide datacoms and satcom hardware support for the workshop when required.
- Conduct GMDSS surveys as part of maritime service requirements.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong technical aptitude with a background in electronics, IT, or communications.
- Relevant field service or engineering experience, preferably in maritime, satcom, or data systems.
- Clean UK driving licence.
- GMDSS and GOC certifications preferred.
- Offshore survival certifications (BOSIET & OLF) desirable.
- Ability to travel regularly, often at short notice.
- Must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC or DV level).
