We are seeking an Export Controller to ensure compliance with UK, EU, US, Canadian, and Israeli export control regulations across international operations. The role supports business continuity while managing regulatory risk and reports to the Corporate Manager, Trade Compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage export licences and approvals for hardware, software, and technology transfers
- Prepare and submit UK export licence applications via SPIRE (SIELs, OGELs) and manage reporting requirements
- Apply for US re-export and re-transfer authorisations (ITAR/EAR)
- Review End-User Statements, TAAs, DSP-5s, and other export approvals
- Classify items under UK, EU, US, Canadian, and Israeli export control regimes
- Act as the primary contact for export compliance queries and government authorities
- Monitor regulatory changes and assess business impact
- Ensure secure handling of controlled data and technology
- Provide export control training and awareness to employees
- Support audits, investigations, risk reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Conduct background checks and third-party due diligence as required
Experience
- Strong commercial experience in export controls and trade compliance
- Strong knowledge of UK and EU export control regulations (US/Israel knowledge a plus)
- Understanding of anti-corruption and due diligence practices
