Role Overview
We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Class 1 HGV Tramping Driver to join our clients operation based in Linwood. This is a fantastic opportunity for drivers seeking consistent, full-time work Monday to Friday, with overnight stays in the vehicle and excellent hourly pay at £20.00.
You will be responsible for nationwide deliveries, operating in a professional and compliant manner, and maintaining high standards of vehicle care and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out Class 1 trunking and deliveries across the UK.
- Tramp Monday to Friday, sleeping in the cab overnight.
- Conduct daily walkaround checks and report any vehicle defects.
- Ensure accurate completion of paperwork and delivery documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding updates and ETAs.
- Follow all current driving legislation and Working Time Directive rules.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence with Category C+E (Class 1) entitlement.
- CPC and digital tachograph card.
- Minimum 6 months experience preferred in a similar Class 1 role.
- No more than 6 points on licence (no DD, DR, or IN codes).
- Comfortable with overnight tramping and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.
