We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for an immediate start in Irlam, Manchester. This is a Monday to Friday role offering competitive hourly rates and regular work. Drivers will be responsible for business-to-business deliveries, working as part of a 2-person crew or independently when required. This role involves manual handling and handballing of goods, so candidates must be physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out business-to-business deliveries safely and efficiently
- Load and unload goods as required
- Work as part of a 2-man delivery team or independently
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional communication with customers
- Complete all relevant paperwork and delivery documentation
- Adhere to all driving regulations and company procedures
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) UK Licence
- Minimum 12 months' Class 2 driving experience
- Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good spoken and written English
- No more than 6 penalty points for minor offences
- Physically fit and able to undertake handball/manual handling duties
- Reliable, professional, and customer-focused
