Bluestones Supply Chain are looking for a Yard Manager to work with our client in Paisley.
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 - 16:30; Every second Saturday, 08:00 - 12:00; Additional overtime as required during busy periods.
We are recruiting on behalf of a long-established and highly respected builders merchant for a Yard Manager to lead their Paisley operation. This is not a role for someone who simply maintains the status quo. We are looking for a strong leader who takes pride in high standards, runs a disciplined and organised yard, and leads by example.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a busy yard environment, developing teams, and ensuring operations run efficiently, safely, and to a consistently high standard.
The Role:
- Manage the day-to-day running of the yard operation
- Lead, motivate and develop the yard team
- Maintain exceptional standards of housekeeping, organisation and safety
- Ensure stock is handled, stored and dispatched efficiently
- Drive productivity and accountability across the team
- Deliver excellent service to both customers and internal departments
- Take ownership of yard performance and continuously look for improvements

- Previous experience managing a builders merchant, distribution, warehouse or yard operation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to gain the respect of their team
