Job description: Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Finisher to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the final stages of production, ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications.
This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment.
HOURS OF WORK : 6pm to 6am. 12 Hour Shifts (Nights). 3 shifts per week (Wednesday night, Thursday night and Friday night). 21 Shifts per year holidays including statutory days (equivalent to 34 days on day shift).
JOB SUMMARY As a Print Finishing Assistant, you assist with running a 6-station saddle stitcher and other print finishing equipment.
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Print Finishing Assistant to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting on the print finishing machines.
Duties Perform finishing tasks on various products, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Use hand tools and power tools to assemble and fabricate components as required.
Conduct heavy lifting as needed to move materials and finished products.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the finishing process, applying mechanical knowledge where necessary.
Feed raw material to semi-automated machines Inspect products coming off finishing machines Support other factory areas as required : Skills Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for assembly and fabrication tasks.
Strong mechanical knowledge to assist in troubleshooting equipment and processes.
Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
Experience working in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality control during the finishing process.
Capability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
