Operating across two sitesMallusk and Dungannon offers a market-leading fleet of trucks and vans. We are seeking a dynamic, hardworking, and adaptable leader to guide our team and drive the delivery of exceptional commercial vehicle rental services. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business while implementing strategic initiatives to maximise efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Job Role / Purpose The General Manager will be responsible for: Independently managing and developing a customer-oriented and profitable business unit Overseeing the efficient daily running and ongoing development of the RentaMerc business Managing all vehicle transactions while demonstrating exceptional product knowledge Leading customer interactions and providing effective sales solutions Canvassing, prospecting, and securing opportunities to promote and sell contract hire Managing account relationships across both new and existing client bases Leading, motivating, and developing the RentaMerc team to maintain high performance Taking responsibility for achieving business unit KPIs Communicating effectively with customers and ensuring an outstanding customer experience Administration of insurance claims in relation to self-drive hire and customer vehicle write offs Overseeing and authorising vehicle maintenance spend in line with budget Month-end duties to include invoice reporting, running month-end closure Essential Criteria Proven senior-level management experience within the motor industry Strong commercial awareness with a track record of meeting and exceeding KPIs Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Highly motivated self-starter with the drive to maximise team performance Demonstrable relationship management skills Confident in cold-calling, both face-to-face and over the telephone Extensive experience in customer-facing roles with evidence of strong stakeholder relationships Desirable Criteria Knowledge and experience of management within the rental industry and/or capital equipment Benefits In addition to a competitive salary, the successful candidate will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including: A Mercedes-Benz company vehicle Senior Manager Bonus Scheme (eligible after 1 year of service) Company Health Insurance (after successful completion of probation) 30 days annual leave (including 8 customary days) Company sick pay scheme Death in Service benefit On-site staff restaurant and free car parking #commercialindeed BSNI is acting as recruitment agency Benefits: On-site parking Work Location: In person TPBN1_UKTJ
