BSNI have an excellent opportunity for our distribution client based in Newry for a HGV Class 2 driver.
Hours: 5.30am/6am start - finish (9hrs)
Rate of pay: £16 - £18
This is a temp role for over the summer period.
Duties:
- Safely operate a flatbed HGV Class 2 lorry to transport goods to designated locations.
- Ensure timely collection and delivery of products, adhering to scheduled routes and deadlines.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent movement or damage during transit.
- Complete accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery.
- Follow all relevant road safety laws and company policies during operations.
- Assist with loading and unloading when required, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, adhering to health and safety standards at all times.
Candidate requirements:
- HGV Class 2 experience
- Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
- Ability for performing heavy lifting and manual handling
