BSNI is recruiting on behalf of a leading commercial vehicle rental company in NI, currently recruiting for a General Manager to lead our rental division. Operating across two sites, Mallusk and Dungannon, we offer a market-leading fleet of trucks and vans. We are seeking a dynamic, hardworking, and adaptable leader to guide our team and drive the delivery of exceptional commercial vehicle rental services.

The General Manager will be responsible for:

  • Independently managing and developing a customer-oriented and profitable business unit
  • Canvassing, prospecting, and securing opportunities to promote and sell contract hire
  • Managing account relationships across both new and existing client bases
  • Leading, motivating, and developing the RentaMerc team to maintain high performance
  • Taking responsibility for achieving business unit KPIs
  • Administration of insurance claims in relation to self-drive hire and customer vehicle write-offs

Requirements:

  • Proven senior-level management experience within the motor industry
  • Strong commercial awareness with a track record of meeting and exceeding KPIs
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the drive to maximise team performance
  • Demonstrable relationship management skills
  • Confident in cold-calling, both face-to-face and over the telephone
  • Knowledge and experience of management within the rental industry and/or capital equipment
