About the Role

Bluestones Medical is currently recruiting an experienced

Band 6 General Radiographer to work within a busy hospital environment in Liverpool on a temporary contract from

August through to November .

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Radiographer looking to secure a longer-term block of work within an NHS hospital setting.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services, working closely with clinical teams to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general radiographic examinations in accordance with departmental protocols.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Assess patients prior to examinations and ensure appropriate preparation.
• Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
• Ensure all imaging procedures are carried out in line with relevant policies, procedures and professional standards.
• Adapt examinations where clinically appropriate and within scope of practice.
• Work collaboratively with radiologists, radiographers, radiography assistants and wider multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Ensure appropriate radiation protection measures are followed at all times.
• Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide appropriate care and reassurance to patients throughout the imaging process.
• Participate in departmental quality assurance and clinical governance activities.
• Support junior members of staff and students where appropriate.
• Maintain a high level of professional competence and clinical knowledge.
• Escalate any clinical, equipment or patient safety concerns appropriately.

Essential Requirements

• HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
• Previous experience working at

Band 6 level or equivalent.

• Recent experience within a hospital or NHS imaging department.
• Strong experience in general radiography.
• Excellent knowledge of radiation safety and protection principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy and sometimes high-pressure environment.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Satisfactory compliance and employment checks.
