Overview
Bluestone Vineyards is a premium English sparkling wine estate seeking a friendly, confident Tasting Room & Events Host to join our seasonal hospitality team. This is a varied, guest-facing role hosting wine tastings and tours at the vineyard, supporting on-site events, and representing Bluestone at selected external events such as markets, wine fairs, and shows.
Key Responsibilities
- Host wine tastings and vineyard tours, sharing the Bluestone story in an engaging and professional manner
- Deliver a consistently high standard of customer service in the tasting room and at events
- Encourage wine sales, Wine Club membership, and repeat visits
- Booking events and applying for relevant licences
- Represent Bluestone at external events, markets, and shows
- Support the setup and smooth running of on-site events
- Process sales through the POS system and handle administrative tasks such as events applications
- Maintain a clean, welcoming, and well-presented guest environment at all times
About You
- Friendly, confident, and comfortable speaking to guests and groups
- Proactive sales-led mindset
- Experience in hospitality, events, retail, or customer service
- Well-presented, professional, and reliable
- Organised and detail orientated
- Available to work weekends, bank holidays, evenings, and off-site events
- Interest in wine (WSET qualifications a bonus)
- Experience working at events, or public-facing venues
- Sales or retail experience, particularly with premium products
