Are you a proactive finance professional with a "can-do, will-do, and DOES DO" attitude? At Bluesky (UK) Ltd, we are looking for a hands-on Management Accountant to join our finance team.
This is a pivotal role reporting directly to the Head of Finance, where you will take full ownership of the monthly management accounts process while ensuring our day-to-day transactional functions remain robust and accurate.
As our Management Accountant, you won’t just be crunching numbers; you will oversee the end-to-end finance function, from high-level P&L analysis to the essential "engine room" tasks of purchase and sales ledgers.
Key Responsibilities of the Management Accountant Role:- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, accruals, prepayments, and stock movement reconciliations.
- Provide variance analysis and commentary to support strategic business decision-making.
- Oversee the Purchase Ledger and Credit Control functions, including weekly multi-currency payment runs (GBP, EUR, USD) and customer credit limit management.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and assist with year-end statutory accounts and audits.
- Work closely with the Head of Finance to achieve 90-day goals ("Rocks") and refine internal financial controls.
Proven track record in preparing monthly management accounts (essential). High proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, complex reconciliations) and a strong background in transactional accounting.
Competitive salary, £35 - £40K depending on experience. Flexible hours - between 7:30 and 17:00 - 36 to 39 hours per week. 25 days holiday. Statutory 3% Pension. Laptop provided. Appropriate supporting equipment provided (for office use only). WFH is available occasionally, but you must have your own suitable equipment including a dedicated office space, desk, suitable chair, multiple screens, keyboard. Perkbox discounts.
