We’re looking for an experienced IT Business Partner – Finance & Controlling to act as the strategic link between Finance, Controlling and IT within an international organisation. This is a role where you’ll do more than capture requirements. You’ll help shape the digital roadmap for Finance and Controlling, identify opportunities to improve processes and systems, and turn business ideas into projects that deliver measurable value.
The role involves working closely with Finance and Controlling stakeholders to understand their priorities, assess existing solutions and develop a modern, integrated and scalable application landscape. Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the strategic IT partner for Finance and Controlling
- Developing digital roadmaps and future-state solutions
- Identifying opportunities for process optimisation, automation and efficiency
- Gathering and analysing business requirements and translating them into IT initiatives
- Prioritising demand and building business cases
- Leading cross-functional projects from initial concept through to successful implementation
- Managing internal teams and external partners
- Owning and developing the roadmap for Finance and Controlling applications
- Ensuring systems and technology remain aligned with business processes and objectives
- Building strong relationships with Finance, IT, management and third-party providers
What you’ll bring:
- Several years' experience working across Finance & Controlling and IT
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA
- A good understanding of Finance and Controlling business processes and how they translate into IT solutions
- Experience leading IT projects and managing stakeholders
- Strong requirements analysis and demand management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to operate confidently between business stakeholders, management and technical teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with the ability to take ownership and drive initiatives through to completion
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
What will make you successful? You’ll be someone who can look beyond individual requirements and understand the bigger picture — identifying where technology can genuinely improve the way Finance operates. You’ll be comfortable challenging existing processes, developing practical solutions and bringing people with you through change. Most importantly, you’ll be able to turn business needs into clear technology roadmaps and tangible results.
