This part-time mobile Associate Physiotherapist role involves providing high-quality clinical care to patients, primarily through in person sympathetic visits to the patients homes to deliver person centred friendly and constructive care.
The role includes assessing patients’ functional abilities, developing and reviewing personalised treatment plans, and guiding rehabilitation for falls prevention, respiratory conditions, post-surgical recovery, and musculoskeletal issues. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate clinical records, communicating clearly with patients, families, and colleagues, and contributing to care plans that reflect individual goals and preferences.
The Associate Physiotherapist will collaborate with the wider team to ensure continuity of care, uphold professional standards, and support service development and best practices within the organisation.
Qualifications
- Clinical physiotherapy skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for falls, respiratory conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, and musculoskeletal complaints.
- Competence in delivering remote consultations, including strong digital literacy, documentation skills, and safe, effective telehealth practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, show empathy, and adapt explanations to diverse patient needs.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities to manage a part-time caseload, prioritise tasks, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Relevant professional qualification in Physiotherapy (e.g., BSc or MSc), current professional registration (such as HCPC or equivalent), and adherence to evidence-based practice and professional codes of conduct.
- Experience or genuine interest in working with older adults, individuals with long-term conditions, and in community or home-based physiotherapy settings.
- Commitment to continuous professional development, openness to supervision and feedback, and willingness to contribute to service improvement initiatives.
