Blueprint UK is expanding its building envelope engineering capability and is looking for a Thermal Bridge Modeller to join our growing technical team. We specialise in roofing, cladding, façade engineering, BIM coordination and secondary steelwork across commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the UK.
This role will focus on 2D and 3D thermal modelling of roofing and cladding junctions, façade interfaces and structural penetrations to support Part L compliance, condensation risk analysis and envelope optimisation.
The Role
You will work alongside our design and engineering teams to develop and analyse:
- Roofing and cladding junctions
- Façade support systems
- Steel penetrations and interfaces
- Parapets, gutters and rooflight details
- Curtain wall and SFS transitions
- Bespoke thermal bridge solutions
You will be responsible for:
- Producing ψ-value calculations
- Thermal bridge modelling to ISO 10211
- Condensation risk analysis
- Developing repeatable junction libraries
- Supporting design optimisation and compliance
- Producing technical reports for consultants and contractors
Software Experience
Experience with some or all of the following would be beneficial:
- THERM
- TRISCO
- BuildDesk
- Flixo
- HEAT3
- AutoCAD
- Revit
What We're Looking For
We are particularly interested in candidates who understand real-world building envelope construction — not just software operation. Ideal backgrounds may include:
- Building physics
- Façade engineering
- Roofing and cladding design
- Architectural technology
- Building envelope consultancy
- Energy modelling
Experience with steelwork interfaces, rainscreen systems or commercial roofing systems would be highly advantageous.
