An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Structural Technician with strong Revit and BIM experience to join a highly respected, global consultancy in London. This hybrid role offers the chance to work on major UK and international building projects, contributing to the development of high-quality structural BIM models and technical drawings while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in BIM delivery, model coordination and structural design support, working closely with engineers, architects and project stakeholders to deliver innovative and technically complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing and coordinating structural BIM models and technical drawings using Revit
- Supporting engineers through model production and project coordination
- Manage BIM workflows, model setup and guide project teams
- Producing accurate 2D and 3D structural drawings and documentation
- Coordinating models across multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Developing and managing Revit families and project standards
- Supporting project teams with quality control and BIM best practice
- Mentoring and supporting junior technicians and BIM team members
- Assisting with project documentation, reporting and technical delivery
Key Requirements
- 6–10 years’ experience as a Structural Technician or Structural BIM Technician
- Strong BIM software experience (Revit, Revizto, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction cloud, AutoCAD)
- Familiarity with PowerBi, Tekla and Rhino is beneficial.
- Experience working on building structure projects
- Solid understanding of structural engineering principles
- Experience producing structural drawings and BIM models
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Having, or currently working towards, a relevant professional qualification, for example ICE EngTech is ideal.
- HNC, HND or equivalent qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
