Responsibilities:
- Deliver electrical design projects from feasibility to completion and handover.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clients, architects, structural engineers, surveyors, and contractors.
- Attend project meetings to provide technical expertise and progress updates.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, health & safety requirements, and industry best practices.
- Advise clients and architects on energy efficiency strategies to reduce carbon footprints and improve sustainability.
- Design and specify site-specific electrical systems, ensuring optimal performance.
- Conduct technical reviews of contractor proposals and oversee on-site installation and maintenance procedures.
- Utilise specialist software, including CAD, Revit (BIM), Trimble (Amtech), and Dialux, to design and analyse electrical systems.
Requirements:
- Degree in Building Services Engineering or a related field.
- Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within a consultancy environment.
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards chartership) with a recognised institution such as CIBSE or IET.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical building services, including design and installation.
