Blueprint Recruitment Solutions is proud to be working with a global engineering, construction and consulting firm, to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer for their UK Transmission & Distribution team.
This is a senior technical role offering the opportunity to lead civil engineering design on major power infrastructure projects, working with key UK clients including National Grid and DNOs (Distribution Network Operator).
Key Responsibilities- Lead civil engineering design from concept through to detailed design and construction support
- Deliver high-quality civil and structural designs within the power Transmission & Distribution sector
- Prepare technical specifications, reports, calculations and construction documentation
- Review vendor and contractor designs to ensure compliance with project and industry standards
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to junior engineers
- Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling and change management
- Liaise with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, QA/QC procedures and safety standards
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
- 7+ years’ experience in civil / structural engineering design
- Strong experience within power Transmission & Distribution projects
- Knowledge of UK client standards (e.g. National Grid, SSEN, SPEN)
- Experience with CDM 2015 and Temporary Works
- Proficient in CAD/BIM and structural analysis software
- Confident communicator with strong leadership and problem-solving skills
