We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to bring their expertise to a leading engineering consultancy, on a contract basis, outside IR35. Our client is offering a hybrid working arrangement, for the chosen candidate, to create detailed electrical system designs, for a variety of Shell and Core and Commercial projects, from their office, near Reading.
- Competitive hourly rate of Β£40-Β£45 (subject to experience).
- Hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities:
- Produce in-depth electrical system designs, across a range of Shell and Core and Commercial projects, from concept through to implementation.
- Assemble and develop detailed drawings, specifications, layout, and model coordination, for electrical systems, using BIM workflows and other relevant tools.
- Work alongside industry professionals (engineers, contractors, and clients), resolving issues and queries, whilst integrating ongoing edits and changes to designs and plans.
- Ensure relevant industry regulations, codes, and standards are being met within all works, whilst maintaining sustainability, operational efficiency, and accuracy.
- Nurture project development initiatives, aiming to improve design processes, strategies, and standards, ensuring ongoing consistency and quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Electrical Engineering, or a relevant discipline, ideally with a Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards obtaining one.
- Substantial demonstrable experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, or a similar role, developing high-profile Core and Shell and Commercial projects.
- Previous experience with designing and developing mechanical and electrical systems, using relevant software tools, such as Revit and AutoCAD.
- Profound acknowledgement of electrical processes, elements, and systems, with a solid grasp of relevant industry standards, regulations, codes, and key legislation.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills, with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently, whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail.
- Significant problem-solving abilities, with a drive and willingness to support and nurture continuous business and project development and growth.
