• Competitive salary of 60,000– 65,000 (depending on experience).

Responsibilities

• Manage the development of intricate mechanical system designs, across a range of Maritime, Commercial, and Residential projects, with the use of relevant software tools.
• Establish and maintain detailed technical reports and documentation, calculations, scope estimations, and specifications.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to locate design issues and implement sustainable, efficient, and low–energy solutions, ensuring proactive prevention of recurrence.
• Ensure that all on–going works align with client requirements, building and industry standards, sustainability goals, and other relevant legislation and regulations.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and other relevant project professionals, whilst taking on the Design Lead role when needed.
• Guide and support junior engineers, promoting their professional development, whilst ensuring efficient work performance, allowing for smooth project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor\’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a similar discipline, with a chartered engineer status, or actively working towards attaining one.
• Extensive experience as a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer, or a related position, ideally working on Commercial, Maritime, and Residential projects.
• Strong demonstratable team management skills are essential, with a significant ability to build and maintain rapport with relevant project professionals and individuals.
• Solid understanding of relevant building and industry standards, sustainability goals, and other legislation and regulations.
• Proficient communication, organisational, and leadership skills, with a strong proactive and problem–solving mindset.
