We're recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering design consultancy with a strong and growing presence across the water, energy and heavy industrial sectors. Based from their office in South Wales, this is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding in-house design team working on exciting, multi-disciplinary projects.

The Role

You'll take technical ownership of a portfolio of projects - from outline through to detailed design, working collaboratively with clients, contractors and the wider supply chain. You'll also play a key role in leading and mentoring junior engineers within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of outline and detailed civil designs to relevant standards
  • Design calculations, reports, drawings and BIM-led deliverables
  • Project management - budgets, programmes, quality and H&S compliance
  • Leading and developing team members
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships

What They're Looking For

  • Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Experience in water and/or energy sectors
  • Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and UK Codes of Practice
  • Confident leading teams and mentoring junior engineers
  • Chartered or working towards chartership (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence
