We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a global powerhouse in energy transition. This is your chance to work on truly unique, industry-defining projects, across energy, gas and hydrogen.

Location: Cumbria
-Competitive salary ranging from Β£50,000-Β£65,000 (depending on experience).
-Company vehicle with fuel card, profit share scheme, and career progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
-Lead mechanical/pipeline engineering projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring compliance with customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
-Develop concept designs, design briefs, and technical calculations; produce and review detailed design packages and Bills of Materials.
-Coordinate with internal and external design teams, support procurement and commissioning, and conduct technical bid evaluations.
-Guide project teams by assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing technical support, while mentoring junior engineers.
-Ensure clear communication and collaboration with project management, stakeholders, and clients to meet technical and commercial goals.
What we are looking for:
-Degree in Mechanical engineering (or equivalent qualifications/experience).
-Chartered or working towards Chartered engineer status.
-Experience working within energy, hydrogen or renewables sector.
-Must be an excellent communicator, and able to write concise reports.
-Strong engineering background in the energy sector, with experience in multi-disciplinary teams and projects.
-Extensive experience in natural gas transmission and distribution systems.
-Solid knowledge of mechanical/pipeline engineering, including piping design, fluid system analysis, pipe stress analysis, equipment layout, and interpreting mechanical and P&ID drawings.
-Highly adaptable, able to manage multiple projects under pressure while maintaining quality and accuracy
