About the Company
Our client, a leading engineering consultancy , based in London , is looking to expand its engineering team with a seasoned Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer . You will support business operations on a permanent basis and join a supportive, motivating team of engineers. Your role will involve designing and developing intricate mechanical systems while working in a hybrid working arrangement . Don\’t miss out on an opportunity for real purpose and career fulfillment.
Responsibilities :
Assist in the production and implementation of detailed mechanical system designs , drawings, and models across a range of major commercial projects .
Prepare and maintain accurate drawings, reports, specifications, and key documents, ensuring they remain up to date for smooth project handover.
Liaise with multidisciplinary project professionals , ensuring clarity and transparency with project expectations and design intent, adhering to client requirements.
Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal/external bodies, building rapport and providing technical insight and query resolution.
Support value engineering, design review , and quality assurance processes , ensuring quality and consistency across all project outputs and supporting project handover.
Qualifications :
Bachelor\’s degree in Mechanical Engineering , or a related discipline, with 2+ years of experience supporting coordinated mechanical system designs.
Required Skills :
Profound understanding of mechanical systems and industry software tools, including Revit , AutoCAD , and other design and analysis resources.
Excellent communication skills , both written and verbal, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with other project professionals.
Ability to establish and maintain strong rapport with clients , stakeholders, regulators, and other project parties.
Strong design and interpretation abilities, with a profound attention to detail and a drive for ongoing professional development.
Competitive salary ranging between £35,000 and £45,000 (subject to experience).
