An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planner to join a specialist consultancy delivering major infrastructure projects across the Rail, Water, Highways and wider Infrastructure sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Planner from a main contractor or subcontractor background who wants exposure to complex, high-value programmes while working across multiple infrastructure markets.
You’ll provide specialist planning expertise throughout project delivery, with a particular focus on programme management, NEC contracts and change management, working both independently and alongside major contractors and project teams.
The Role
- Developing, maintaining and reviewing detailed project programmes
- Providing planning expertise across major Rail, Water, Highways and Infrastructure projects
- Producing and managing programmes using Primavera P6
- Supporting projects operating under NEC contracts
- Monitoring project progress against agreed programmes and key milestones
- Identifying programme risks, delays and opportunities
- Supporting and managing project change
- Undertaking programme analysis and reporting
- Working closely with main contractors, subcontractors and project stakeholders
- Managing multiple project priorities and deadlines
- Providing clear planning insight to support project decision-making
- Working independently while contributing to wider project and consultancy teams
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years' post-graduate planning experience
- Previous experience working for a main contractor or subcontractor
- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6
- Experience working with NEC contracts
- Strong change management experience
- Experience working on medium to large-scale projects
- Excellent analytical and programme management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to demanding deadlines
- Experience across Rail, Water, Highways or major Infrastructure projects would be highly advantageous.
