Electrical Design Engineer - Life Sciences London | Hybrid Working (Remote Considered) £43-£52 per hour 6-Month Contract (Temporary) | Outside IR35 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading Building Services consultancy delivering major life sciences and laboratory developments across the UK. This Electrical Design Engineer role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing complex electrical building servMSCices systems for highly serviced, technically demanding environments. You'll join a multidisciplinary team delivering large-scale life sciences projects from concept through to construction, working alongside some of the UK's leading contractors and design teams. The successful Electrical Design Engineer will play a key role in the delivery of high-value laboratory and research facilities, contributing to innovative engineering solutions across technically challenging developments. The Role As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for: Designing electrical building services systems for life sciences and laboratory projects Producing electrical calculations, specifications and technical reports Delivering projects through all key RIBA design stages Coordinating designs with mechanical engineers, BIM teams and multidisciplinary consultants Supporting projects from concept through to construction Attending client meetings, design reviews and technical workshops Ensuring designs comply with current regulations and industry standards Developing innovative, energy-efficient engineering solutions for complex facilitiesThis Electrical Design Engineer position offers the opportunity to work on technically advanced projects within one of the fastest-growing sectors in Building Services. What We're Looking For We're looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a strong Building Services background. Ideally, you'll have: Previous experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within a Building Services consultancy Strong electrical building services design experience Experience delivering projects through multiple RIBA design stages Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and relevant industry standards Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teamsThe following would be highly advantageous: Experience working on life sciences, laboratory, healthcare or other technically complex Building Services projects Experience working with major contractors or multidisciplinary consultancies Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartershipWhy Apply?
