Join a team shaping the future of architecture, nurturing brilliance and an operational legacy. Our client, a specialist engineering company, is seeking an experienced Architect to demonstrate their multitude of skills and talents across a variety of Rail projects. The client offers a long-term programme of work starting on a 6-month contract based out of their main London office.

  • Competitive hourly rate of £35-£45 (subject to experience).
  • Hybrid office based working arrangement.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee detailed architectural design proposals for a variety of Rail projects, from concept and feasibility through to design.
  • Create concise technical drawings, models, construction documentation, and specifications, following current regulations and policies.
  • Liaise with multidisciplinary consultants to efficiently implement all elements of constructability maintenance, design, and performance reports and reviews.
  • Build and maintain rapport with clients, allowing for effective communication, to present design concepts, respond to feedback, and maintain overall quality.
  • Conduct site visits and propose solutions for any on-site challenges or concerns, whilst supporting contractor supervision when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Architecture (ARB, RIBA, or similar), or a related discipline.
  • Has architectural experience working on the design of train stations and rail projects.
  • Has experience across all work stages - concept and detailed design.
  • Significant understanding of Bentley software's such as MicroStation.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and other relevant professionals.
  • Sound organisation skills, with a proactive, problem-solving approach, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
