Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a skilled CAD Technician to join a well-established engineering company, in a contract position. This role will require you to work full time (5 days a week) in our client\’s office in Essex. You will be playing a crucial role in the delivery of a stage 3-4 commercial fit out project .
-Hourly rate ranging from 24-27 (depending on experience).
Key Responsibilities:
-Create 2D and 3D CAD drawings for bespoke sheet metal enclosure designs.
-Modify and revise existing drawings in line with project changes or customer feedback.
-Liaise with design engineers, production teams, and project managers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
-Support prototype development through clear and accurate drafting.
-Maintain drawing records and support documentation according to company procedures.
-Contribute to design process improvements and standardisation.
-Assist in the preparation of manufacturing documentation and bills of materials.
What are we looking for:
-Proven experience as a CAD Technician, with proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
-Must have knowledge (or willing to gain) on ACC.
-Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
-A relevant engineering or design qualification is desirable.
