This is a senior position offering £75,000-£80,000 per annum, with responsibility for managing a team of BIM Coordinators and Technicians while overseeing the successful delivery of MEP requirements across the project.
The Role
You'll lead BIM delivery across a technically complex data centre development, working closely with the site team, subcontractors and client to ensure established procedures and the BIM Execution Plan are followed. A key part of the position will involve coordinating complex mechanical and electrical installations, working alongside package managers and site engineers to identify and resolve clashes between disciplines. You'll also provide technical guidance to junior team members and contribute to research and development around emerging technologies and improved digital processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of BIM Coordinators and Technicians
- Oversee delivery in accordance with the project BIM Execution Plan
- Coordinate complex MEP installations with site and engineering teams
- Manage and resolve multidisciplinary clashes and coordination issues
- Produce and oversee drawings, specifications and schedules
- Liaise with subcontractors, package managers, engineers and the client
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members
- Contribute to the development of new digital workflows and processes
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience working across large-scale projects
- Strong Revit experience with an MEP bias
- Previous experience managing or mentoring BIM teams
- Excellent understanding of multidisciplinary coordination
- Navisworks experience is highly desirable
- AutoCAD knowledge would be beneficial
- Relevant degree in engineering or a related discipline
- Strong organisation, communication and time-management skills
- Previous exposure to data centres, mission-critical facilities or similarly complex Building Services projects would be particularly relevant.
