An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Director - Electrical to join a growing Building Services team in Birmingham. This role is ideally suited to a technically strong and commercially aware Electrical professional who is ready to step into a senior leadership position with responsibility for team management and project delivery oversight.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of a team of seven engineers, including Senior Engineers, an Intermediate Engineer and Apprentices. You will play a key leadership role, ensuring high technical standards, effective resource management and successful project outcomes across a varied portfolio of Building Services projects. This position offers hybrid working and the opportunity to influence both team development and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of 7 engineers within the Electrical discipline
- Oversee project delivery to ensure quality, budget and programme targets are met
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to senior and junior team members
- Support resource planning and allocation across multiple projects
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of service delivery
- Contribute to financial and commercial performance within the team
- Support business development and work-winning activities (desirable but not essential)
- Proven experience in a senior Electrical role within Building Services (Associate or Senior level ready to step up)
- Strong technical knowledge of Electrical Building Services design
- Demonstrable experience managing or mentoring engineering teams
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of project financials
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Chartered status or working towards Chartership (desirable)
- Competitive salary of £70,000 - £80,000
