An established building services consultancy is looking to appoint an Electrical Design Engineer on a contract basis to support a strong pipeline of work. The role will focus primarily on retail projects for major blue-chip clients, including large national retailers. This is an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for ongoing work for the foreseeable future for the right individual.
You will be responsible for delivering electrical building services designs across retail-led projects, working closely with internal teams and clients in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Produce electrical designs and technical documentation for building services projects
- Support projects from concept through detailed design stages
- Coordinate with other MEP disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
- Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and client requirements
- Respond to design queries and support project delivery as required
- Proven experience as an Electrical Design Engineer within building services
- Strong understanding of MEP design principles
- Experience working on retail projects is highly desirable
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently
Rates: Outside IR35
