This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a Building Services consultancy delivering commercial fit–out and residential projects at RIBA Stages 4–5.
You’ll be working predominantly on projects delivered for M&E contractors, providing detailed mechanical design input through the later stages of project delivery.
This is an initial 3–month contract, with an immediate start available. The preference is for a minimum of three days per week in the Westerham office, although there is some flexibility around the working arrangement.
The Role
You’ll be involved in:
- Delivering mechanical Building Services design across commercial and residential projects
- Working primarily across RIBA Stages 4–5
- Producing detailed mechanical design information
- Supporting commercial fit–out schemes
- Working on residential developments
- Delivering design work for M&E contractor–led projects
- Coordinating mechanical requirements with wider Building Services disciplines
- Reviewing and developing technical design information
- Supporting projects through detailed design and delivery stages
- Working closely with engineers, contractors and wider project teams
What They’re Looking For
- Strong experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
- Building Services design experience
- Experience delivering projects through detailed design stages
- Good understanding of RIBA Stages 4–5
- Experience across commercial and/or residential projects
- Ability to produce high–quality mechanical design information
- Strong technical and problem–solving capabilities
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ideally available to work from the Westerham office at least three days per week
Experience working directly with M&E contractors or contractor–led project teams would be particularly beneficial.
